Brian Rosenzweig

Brian Rosenzweig is a co-founder of Joule Ventures with nearly two decades of experience working in Israel’s venture investment market as both an investor and entrepreneur. Though his upbringing and education took place in the U.S, the majority of his career was spent in Israel's innovation ecosystem, working extensively with Israel-based founding teams on their product-market fit, strategic partnership development, and the aggressive pursuit of traction in key North American markets.

Prior to becoming a partner at Joule, Brian worked in Israel as the Director of Marketing for New York City-based venture fund 21Ventures, where he was charged with developing and executing market entry and expansion strategies for the firm’s 45+ portfolio companies.

Brian lives in Atlanta and holds a B.A. in Journalism from the Ernie Pyle School of Journalism at Indiana University, Bloomington, and a minor in Hebrew.

Dafna Winocur Biran

Dafna Winocur Biran

Dafna has over 15 years experience in prestigious venture roles including a principal role at global multi-stage fund 83North (formerly Greylock IL), and head of the Israel investment division for Silicon Valley early-stage tech fund Innovation Endeavors.

With deep expertise in Israeli and U.S. Markets and relations–beginning with her time serving as Team Commander for the anti-aircraft commanders course in the Israel Defense Forces (the first woman in history to do so), and continuing throughout her career with the Global Corporate Strategy office of the CEO at SAP (NYSE: SAP), and as a Product Manager within the Europe, Asia, and North American divisions of Eastman Kodak (NYSE: KODK), Dafna delivers intentional strategic guidance to our entrepreneurs at every turn.

Dafna lives in Tel Aviv with her husband Eyal, holds an MBA from Columbia University and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University.

Daniel Frankenstein

Daniel Frankenstein is a co-founder of Joule Ventures with over a decade of experience in North America and Israel working with both C-suite executives and start-up entrepreneurs developing advanced technologies.

As a corporate expert turned venture investor, Daniel has a deep understanding for the value steed-stage technology businesses gain by partnering with multinational enterprises early and efficiently, which he leverages on behalf of the fund's portfolio investments.

Prior to Joule, Daniel spent eight years at the Corporate Executive Board (NYSE: CEB) in Washington, D.C. advising Fortune 1000 Chief Financial Officers on industry best practices. In 2009, he led CEB’s market entry into Israel where he worked with some of the country’s leading corporations. CEB was acquired by Gartner (NYSE: IT) for $2.7b in 2017.

Based in New York City, Daniel holds a B.S. in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a minor in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business.
